Primarily with reference to Heiltsuk heritage sites and properties, including artifacts, to:

1. Identify all cultural heritage and archaeological sites within Heiltsuk territory;
2. promote, facilitate, or undertake the protection of artifacts and evidence of human cultural activity within traditional Heiltsuk territory in accordance with the wishes of the Heiltsuk people;
3. seek, obtain, and maintain facilities and staff within our community to provide for the proper care, preservation, and conservation of our cultural heritage, and to enable us to receive loans of artifacts of Heiltsuk origin from collections of public institutions.
